Why this matters?

Moment Creation

Problem Statement

Capture small moments with context, not just photos.

Most journaling apps fail because they require too much effort.

Recallia simplifies this into a quick, guided moment creation flow.

Moment creation is central to Recallia, and its quality directly drives

user retention. Every detail should make the experience feel satisfying.

Core Design Decisions

Intended Experience

  • Easy to start

  • Clear what to do

  • Feels satisfying to complete

Each step reduces friction while guiding the user toward completion. I am leaning on user intuition and

clean designs to create a flow that nudges users to sucessfully capturing the moment.

Planting your moment

Planting your moment

I designed moment creation to be guided, low-effort, and emotionally rewarding—transforming

it from a task into an experience. The user should be able to open their phone take and capture

a moment within 10 seconds

  • Clear hierarchy

Prioritized primary actions to reduce confusion

  • Guided prompts

Help users reflect without needing to think from scratch

  • Reduced cognitive load

Structured the flow into simple, digestible steps

  • Satisfying micro-interactions

Added subtle feedback to make interactions feel responsive and engaging

Satisfying micro-interactions increase stickiness.

use small moments of feedback and reward to make actions feel meaningful
